DICT National Cybersecurity Plan 2022 Gains International Appreciation

The Philippines through ASec Allan Cabanlong presented its National Cyber Security Plan 2022 in Prague on March 27, 2018 and has gained appreciation and encouragement from the international community.

ASec. Allan Cabanlong is an ASEAN Engineer and a fellow Professional Electronics Engineer. He was instrumental to the passage of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 and is the leading figure in the crafting of the Philippine National Cybersecuirty Plan 2022. He is currently the  Assistant Secretary for CyberSecurity and Enabling ICT Technologies of the Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) and concurrently the Director of the Cybercrime Investgation and Coordination Center (CICC).

After his presentation in Prague, he stated:

“I am humbled that the Philippines National CyberSecurity Plan 2022 is appreciated by other countries around the World. Speaking in front of delegation from 70 Countries experts in CyberIntelligence and receiving positive feedbacks motivate me to do more to keep our nation cybersafe. Thank you Mr President for giving me this chance to prove that its never too late for the Philippines to be at par with other countries on cyber.” 

We congratulate our good Director and collegue in this very encouraging achievement of our DICT and the Philippine government in general.

We are encouraging our professionals in the field of ICT to help in fostering the initiatives of DICT in our Information Security Governance and Risk Management, making our Cyber space safe,  secure and serve as an essential tool for the progress and development for our citizens, families, communities, our government and our country in general.
